3 days in the hospital with vertigo ANXIETY
by: wj
on Thu, Oct 29 2009
I live alone and have no one close to me in town. My vertigo was so bad that after 3 days of crawling I called 911 for help. It was so bad I thought wasn’t going to be able to reach the deadbolt to let the emts in. I was admitted for 3 days. They found nothing wrong with my ears. The crawling started immediately after being told some horrible news. Since then, whenever I experience a major stressor in my life (there are some serious ones lately) the vertigo kicks in. I can almost trigger an episode by thinking (feeling) anxious thoughts. Got in fight w/ the ex today- bang 20 minutes later vertigo was on. Got dumped by the girlfriend, vertigo came back. After getting every test done in the hospital I will say anxiety causes vertigo with me. I have been off work now 15 days. Until I can deal with my mental issues it will keep coming back, I have no doubt. By the way, I can sometimes turn them on but have NEVER been able to turn them off. 6-8 hours is my usual episode.
