Tired of staggering

I cannot say exactly when my symptoms started, but I think they were gradual at first, back about the first of the year. Now they are every waking minute. Besides the staggering and swaying, which is really getting old…I also experience trouble with my vision so it hinders my driving, working on the computer, reading, and going into different lighting situations. I have trouble especially going from a lit room to a dark room.

I do not know if it iss because of the anxiety the dizziness has caused, but being around loud noises or crowds really exacerbates my dizziness The only time I feel normal is when I am in bed. I can lie on my back and everything is fine….the room does not spin at all. You can turn me up on my head and I am fine. It only seems to be when I am vertical that the dizziness starts soon as my feet hit the floor. Sitting is OK if I do not have a lot of motion going on around me or if I do not turn my head a lot or use my hands to talk.

I have had some shoulder and neck problems within the last year and a tremendous amount of stress prior to the dizziness. Saw a chiropractor for the shoulder and neck and as someone else mentioned, the dizziness got worse. People think your are crazy after seeing five doctors (2-GPs, ENT, Neurologist and chiropractor) and know one can diagnose or fix the problem. Depression is starting to set in. I have one more neurologist I am going to try that was recommended by a friend that got some relief.

I would love to hear from anyone with my similar symptoms that have received some help and relief. The Brandt Daroff exercises did not help at all nor the inner ear meds.
