To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Suprise! Vertigo I have had vertigo for several years. The very first time I experienced it - I was driving at 75mph on Interstate 96 across Michigan. The entire dashboard started spinning and I had NO idea what what happening. I made it to the shoulder of the road and sat there until it passed. I felt like I’d been slipped a drug or something. After that it took 3 years before the next episode hit. Since then they are almost weekly. For some reason they seem to be more frequent in the summer months. Each episode comes with the spinning, the dizziness and a whopper of a headache. I feel disjointed and ‘undone’. I take AntiVert when it’s really bad - but for the most part - I have learned to just sleep off the worst of the episode. I have bouts of room spinning vertigo and at other times the world seems to be at a 45 degree angle. I had a severe concussion several years ago and that was the worst symptom - the 45 degree angle floors and sidewalks. My doctors seem to think that the concussion is the cause of my vertigo - and that I will probably have it the rest of my life. I need to get lots of rest to keep my vertigo at bay. When I am fatigued I am more prone to serious episodes. I can almost always feel it coming on because of a weird sensation I get in my eyes. I kind of know to expect it - not that it makes it any better! It’s nice to know that there are others out there that understand how debilitating this condition can be! Good luck to all of you!
