I visited my Dr. this a.m. and he diagnosed Vertigo I certainly don’t have many of the symptoms people describe in their stories, but I notice that there are several health problems I have had over the years that are mentioned here. I am 63 yrs old and suffered migraines for many years. In addition I experienced very bad panic attacks, especially 30 years ago when no one had a name for them. I studied all the library books I could until I suddenly found information on panic attacks. Around 50 years of age my migraine headaches stopped, but instead I started to notice a ‘fuzzing’ feeling in my head. It only lasted a few seconds and would make me think I was going to black out, but never did. That still happens several times a year. About 10 years ago I had an attack like a mini stroke where everything down my left side had a numb feeling and I couldn’t talk, or stand and dropped the things I had in my hands and fell to the ground. I was sent for a brain scan and was told it was normal. However my GP told me it was a form of migraine The next major episode was after I had two glasses of wine with a friend, I had to go to bed because the room was swimming. I am not a heavy drinker, but have drunk two glasses many times before. The awful swimming feeling lasted about four hours. Since then I have had several occasions where I have become very dizzy, light headed and slightly nautious and it has lasted for several days. One time I had one explosion of pain in the back of my head and I fell over, but that was the only time I experienced one jolting pain. This week I almost passed out at a function and was so dizzy I had to lie on the floor. After a while I tried to get up only to find within 5 minutes I had to lie down again. On and off for the past five days I have felt very dizzy and slightly nautious. Does anyone else notice they have all these other problems? Comments
