This is my story

I am 47 years old and have suffered with migranes for years now. I take Relplax when I have one and it goes ways withing hours. Although I do not take any other medications the medication makes me very sleepy and I normally have to go to bed.
Last November I had my first spell with what I think now is vertigo. I was driving with my husband to my brothers and all of a sudden everything started to spin and the whole world felt out of sort. I pulled over and he drove the rest of the way to my brothers. By the time we got to my brothers I seemed to be okay and at the time we thought it was a drop in blood sugar. I had eaten some sweets that morning and had nothing else to eat that day. So when I got to my brothers I I drank some coke and seemed to be fine the rest of the day. I went to the doctor the following week and she said it looked like I might have a slight ear infection (never had one before in my life, no discomfort , etc) she gave me an antibiotic and gave me Melcizine) She told me to take that for the dizziness I never took the medication because I seemed to be fine.
Fast forward…my migranes are pretty regular although I go through periods where I do not have them as often.
Last Thursday I ham driving home from work. It is a 35 mile commute one way to my office in downtown Atlanta. And all of sudden I had another attack only this time it was worse. One reason I think it because I was alone and became very scared. I was on the expressway and was finally able to pull over and get my husband on the phone.
In addition to the dizziness I began to shake all over (maybe as the anxiety took over) and I had very warm and cold sensations over my body.
I was finally able to get home by talking with my husband on the phone and him calming me down as I was talking with him.
Once i got home the symptoms did not go away so he called 911 and had the EMT check me out. All my vitals were find when they got here. At the time it did not register with me that this was the same thing that had happened last year.
I finally took the Meclizine and all I did for two days was sleep.
I am going to schedule a follow up with my physician but I want to get a proper check up with a specialist. I think that a Neuroligist would be best since I have the migranes and this might in someway all be related.

I’m 42 and my first vertigo attack hit me in March 2007 with no warning, and lasted for 2 months. I was finally referred to an ENT who did the Eply manuver. It worked and I was vertigo free for almost a year.

I’m 24 years old and I have been living with vertigo since 2001. I was in a car accident in which I suffered a head trauma, it was nothing too serious, I was released from the hospital after a day, but a couple of months after the accident, I started getting “dizzy spells”.

God, I don’t know where to begin. 4 months ago, I was experiencing dizziness, migraine nausea, and vomiting. Everywhere I was, Everything I did, the room seem to spin. I went to see my Internal Medicine doctor about it and she diagnose it as Vertigo.

In Dec 2002 I suffered a severe vertigo attack that I have never recovered from, I was 31 when it happened. Initially I could not walk as it felt I had a brick in one ear pulling me to the floor, vomiting etc, just terrible as you all know.

I get so mad when I see all the vertigo entries with the first experience in 2008 and they are already diagnosed. Vertigo a lot of them say. In fact all of the one’s I read just said Vertigo and say they were treated for vertigo - and that scares me.
