Paris…or not

On July 7 I was about to board a flight to France with my husband for our annual vacation when the world suddenly dropped out from under me! I became so ill (severe vomiting, spinning, and sweating buckets) I couldn’t get off the floor of the airport bathroom, had to be lifted on to a gurney and ambulanced to the ER, where they did an MRI and put me on an IV…I left ten hours later with a BPPV diagnosis. I am still very unsteady on my feet and impatient with this disabling sensation. Anitvert makes me sleep but does not help the spins. My GP prescribed Lorazipam which I will try today, but my very very busy life has stopped cold. I will henceforth be much more sympathetic to anyone with this diagnosis! I thought I was dying!
