I cried out to my wife for help .I could not keep anything in my stomach. My wife took me to the Emergency Room after 4 days of being miserable. The doctors diagnosed me with BPPV. I was given several different prescriptions, ans was told to contact my family physician if this did not help. I was referred to an ENT specialist. After many tests I was told I had BPPV, along with Cervical Vertigo I was involved in a serious auto accident that required me to have an Anterior Cervical Discectomy, with fusion, and hardware of C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6. The Ent specialist stated that the Cervical Vertigo is from the Surgery, and that was condusive to the Auto Accident. I do not wish to be on a Generic Valium for the rest of my life. I cannot sleep on my righht side, because the spinning is terrible. I can sleep on my left side, and not bother me whatsoever. I feel at times that I am falling backwards, even though I know I am not. My ENT told me that there was nothing that he could do for me, and suggested that I contact his Professor for further evaluation. I cannot take take another Doctor starting over again. I have had medication, and physical therapy but my problem is still there( although not as bad as the beginning) I have had Four Vertigo Attacks in less than 2 years. Has anyone else had something similar? Comments
