He had these episodes every month lasting up to 5 days from the time he got up in the morning to the time he went to bed.As he got older they weren’t every month but every other month and they lasted up to 12 days-all day long. He has been to 4 different neurologist and had numerous test though out the years and have been repeated many times. Every test has come out normal. They have tried many different medication and nothing seems to help him. He would not go to school during these episodes because he could not walk at all and he had to be carried or needed one on one for assistance. I have researched this and I haven’t found anyone that has vertigo lasting this long and all day long. He now has graduated from High School and works full time at night and go full time to college during the day. He is studing computer since this can be a sit down job which he can do when he has his vertigo since it only effects him to walk. Just last month he had to miss 4 days of work because he could not stand of walk which he has to do being a machine operator. He is very frustrated with this and wishes it would go away. Some doctors say it might go away when he hit puberty but this didn’t happen. I hope there is someone out there that might be able to help or give us advise since all the doctors he has seen say they don’t know what is causing this and one even said I’m sorry I can’t help you. My son just want to be a normal young man. My son does have rods in his back due to scoliosis and other then that he doesn’t have any other problems or disabilities. Comments
