To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with Vertigo I am a middle aged woman who has developed vertigo as a result of TMJ. I have an excellent orthodontist that specializes in TMJ which is very helpful. My family is well versed in what to look for and make sure I get proper medication when I have attacks. Also, for my own protection I don’t drive and make sure to shop and travel with a companion, usually my daughter. Make sure those you associate with most, be it family, friends, and/or co-workers know what to look for and be ready to assist you if needed. Anyone who has a freak attack when you have a vertigo episode is not good and my attitude is to either educate such individuals or avoid them althogether. There are OTC meds that help, I take Meclizine and make sure I have it with me at all times. Vertigo is not a bad thing, you just need to learn how to live with it. I hope that at least some of what I have said helps someone. Good luck!! Comments
