Trigger point/nerve blocker shots

I have had left shoulder/arm problems for many years. After many failed treatments from my family doctor, I seek answers from specialists. What I have been receiving for several year are narcotics, muscle relaxers, neurontin, and what my pain management/neurologist doctor calls nerve blocker shots that seem way to fast to me and seem more like what articles have described as trigger point injections. After receiving them, I am in more pain for days and at times weeks. He has been billing my insurance company for Fluoroscopy, polysomnogrophy, and para nerve cerv/thor injections. I have studied all of the mentioned treatments and now seek answers to as why none of these treatments are working.

Only the Oxycontin and Oxycodone along with an anti inflammatory. The shots he gives me are over with in about 5 seconds. It feels more like a puncture wound attack. Most patients in the waiting room come from the treatment room complaining on the same thing I do. How can he inject so fast? At one point I told him the shots are hurting me more than I think they should. His response, “You have to get the injections for your narcotic scripts. I feel like he thinks I’m some kind of addict. I take as prescribed. His billing for that one visit is exactly $1225.00 and occasionally an additional $1500.00 for Polysomnography.

Is this guy just in it for the money, my visit with him in the treatment room lasts no longer than 5 minutes. Everyday gets more painful than the last. That is pretty much what I wanted to share and after the weekend I am calling my insurance company to see if this treatment is valid. I hope no one who reads this is going through what I am. MRI’s show mostly disc degeneration along with a bulging disc here or there. Seek real proper treatment. I feel I am not receiving this at all. Maybe I’m wrong. I am so unfocused. My vision is blurred. I need help, something is not right here. Please tell me if I’m wrong.
