To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Trigger Point Injection I was in a autmobile accident in July 2008. Suffered a severe whiplash injury the hurt my neck and back. Then went to the Emergency room and had three xrays of the Cervical spine, Thoracic spine, Lumber Spine. The result was a slipped disk in the neck and lumbar spine pushed to the side and severe pain. I went to a Chiropractor and my pain got worst then I went to a Ortho doctor who presribed narcotics, muscle relaxants, and motrin along with physical therapy The physical therepy slightly helped but not enough. To add to this I am diabetic and my blood glucose levels are high due to pain and stress so healing is slowed. My pain now over three months was acute now called chronic. I was introduced to Cervical epidural shots the help with the pain. These shots were done with consice sedation and under a xray. Number 1 shot helped slightly. So it was suggested to get another shot again more improvement. Now number 3 I told the doctor that when I press on one side of my neck it blocks the pain that radiates down. So he added a trigger point injection to that spot along with a cervical epidural shot. Two days out I have little or no pain this is really beneficial for me. I still that the medications and I am not taking as frequently as before. Comments
