To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Trigeminal Neuralgia I am a 21 year old male and had my first grueling experience about a year and a half ago. It started spontaneously and became worse throughout the course of the day. I was unsure of why it occurred until I did some research on my symptoms. I was getting sharp, stabbing pain in the right side of my face coming from the maxillary and mandibular branches of the Trigeminal Nerve. Strong pain relievers did not work at all, including two 7.5 Hydrocodone pills. I went to the hospital and received meds intravenously and the pain went away temporarily. It lasted about a week, and I didnt get another encounter until about six months after. My face is still tender just above my nose, where I can palpate the nerve going into my top teeth that shoots pain right through them. This is by far the worst pain anyone could ever have and I hope no one has to deal with this. Now i know why it is referred to as “The Suicide’s Disease” sometimes. Comments
