To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download SURVIVING THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE December 13, 2008. I suffered an occipital head injury. I sustained a bilateral subdural fronto-temprol lobe subdurals. I also suffered diffuse brain bleeding and a subacracnoid bleed. I survived this terrible day. On January 2oth, I woke up from my coma. The nurses, the doctors, my family and friends were amazed with my recovery. I spent 15 days in rehabilitation. When I started rehab, I could hardly walk or talk etc. when I left rehab after 15 days, I was able to navigate on my own. However, I was only dismissed home, if I could some one could constantly be with me and that I would attend outpatient therapy. I spent a total of 53 days in the hospital/rehab. By statistical data, my survival was poor. If I survived, they expected me to be in a persistent vegetative state. I proved that they were all wrong, with my prognosis. I returned to work only four weeks after I was dismissed from the hospital. I am a nurse and I am employed by the same hospital where I was a patient. There is hope, when you think there is no hope. Miracles still occur, no matter what information you are given. Statistical data is not 100%. So, if you have a close family member or friend who is suffering from such a traumatic injury, hope for the best and pray for their complete recover. I am a living testament, that when the prognosis is terrible, your family or friend can be the good statistical data. They could be the person who survived, such a terrible accident. Cindy Comments
