when my husband fell he damaged his left side of the brain,we were told he would be in a vegetative state for ever .they give you a 15 day period ,then say it would be permanent ,my husband woke up after three weeks,he was out of it for another two .meaning he didnt know anything.then he became aware of things, now hes starting to make alot of progress.my feeling is no matter what the doctors prepare you with what is the worst of a situation it may not be all that bad .dont give up on your loved one ,because you never know what the recovery maybe
