To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My Grandson In June last year my daughter and grandson were involved in a motor accident. My daughter suffered injuries that in time (please God) will be sorted My grandson (my adorable boy) is on life support. His brain stem was injured not severed but he cannot breath for himself and is on a ventilator called a Nippy. He is paralysed from his neck down (and its killing me writing this as it makes it so much clearer) He has now turned seven years and amazes us with his ability to adjust to the every day changes he has to endure. Thank God He is a bright and cheerful lad and would be able to train a nurse how to look after him at this stage. We have been told by his medical team he is as good as he will ever get. We will never give up hope. He has some sensation on his left hand even though it is not looked at as significant we feel it may increase. Our only hope for him to have a better quality life is hanging on stem cell research. At this time we have been trained in how to look after him but he still needs 24 hour care with two people one been a nurse. I don’t know what else to write except treasure your time with those you love Life can change so terrible in one split second Comments
