To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Working to get better: TBI Its a long story hahaha. I was in the car pool driving to work,Agrium fertilizer just east of Calgary in the carseland area. I was in the back seat on the passenger side and we were travelling down the highway and you’ll never guess what happened. A guy was doing a 100 and blew a stop sign hitting the side of the car. I could tell you all my injuries but the list is huge hahaha. I was in the hospital for 12 weeks and I remember about 4 weeks and I dont remember anything 2 days before the accident also cause I was in such bad shape. I just got out of foothills hospital on Dec 17 and things are starting to come together, I had a severe Brain Trauma, which is really bad, my face was completely smashed, my leg broke, my ribs broke, my lungs collapsed, I had quite a few internal issues, I broke my neck, I lost 50 lbs 210 to 160 and my face this is where it gets complicated. If you were to take your eye out and stick it next to your eye that’s where my eye was, every bone in my face was broken and of course my Brain took a beating. I had quite a few surgeries. I dont remember any of this I have just been asking the right questions. If you were to see me you would think I look like I did back in a couple months ago. I have some scars in some areas but under my shirt hahahaha. I’m obviously not returning to work anytime soon cause my brains cognitive power isnt what it used to be quite yet, it just takes time. I’m getting better apparently quicker then any of the doctors, therapist and nurses have ever seen. I got alot of stories that kind of put things in perspective and can make you laugh. My life style before the accident is why Im doing so well, eating good, working out, not drinking and of course playing all sortes of hockey hahahaha. I was playing a tonne of hockey and ball hockey to. The only thing that is still kinda slowing me up is that I wear an eye patch just because they had to move my eye back into place but there is apparently alot of scar tissue behind my eye that is slowing my eye movement up so i see two of everything but it just takes time until its all gone and if not the doctor said they can operate. Sorry for telling you so much, it helps me to talk about it I tell everyone, I bet everyone who works at blockbuster in lethbridge knows my stories I just find ways to talk about it haahaaha.
