To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Motorcycle Accident “No Helmet in Ohio” On July 7th 2005 I was riding on I-76 heading toward Akron,Ohio traveling at 65-70mph with no helmet on. The first mistake was not wearing a helmet and the second mistake was riding while I was very upset/angry. All I can remember is my motorcycle sliding to the left and to the right. I could hear the rear tire skiding on the dry pavement and I knew that I was in trouble. Life really changed after my accident. The insurance company didn’t total my bike but had it repaired for around $10,000. Within a short period of time I went back to work as an Electrician. (December of 05) Just as the bills were being caught up I was laid off on 1/6/06. Now it is 7/08 and I still have problems with my vision. When I move my head slightly objects look like a video on TV that a camera man was shaking the camera. My hearing in my left ear is gone and all I hear is very loud ringing. I also have balance problems and I found that when I am tired the vision, ringing and balance gets worse. Walking at night with a flashlight is not a good idea! I stumble and fall! I now work for the same company that I was laid off from in Ohio, I’m still employed as an Electrician but had to relocate close to Washington DC to work for the same company. I was able to continue my service with my employer. Some days/nights are really tough for me but I seem to make it though my 12 hour shifts. Sometimes I walk down the hallways and find myself bumping into the walls on my right side occasionally. I have alot of problems using my hands on the job but I try my best. At times I get depressed, but I try my best. I thank God that I’m still here after that accident and I know that he was with me throughout my ordeal. What helped me back on my feet after my accident was Philippians 4:13. Comments
