I never thought you would need a helmet when you go snow tubing. Well I was wrong. Ironically I hit the wall I built which was frozen solid. It was meant to keep skiers and sledders from going into the road. I was going way too fast and hit a bump which made me airborne and smash into the wall face first. I had frontal damage and DAI. There is always hope and nothing is impossible. I have memory, attention, and organizing or executive functioning deficits of which I am still learning to deal with, but I finished my schooling and graduated. I am lucky to be alive and should be thankful. Don’t look at the past, instead look at the present and live in the here and now to the best of your ability. I realize that it is difficult and I am making steps each and everyday. So be thankful and remember there is always someone better off and someone worse off than yourself. Comments
