April 2004, I as in a serious car accident. My friend died, one cracked her ribs and I was in a coma for 13 weeks. I had 9 months hospital then 9 months rehabilitation. Parents were told four times that I was dead, and got told to bring people in to say goodbye. l was not ready yet. I have lived to tell my tale and I’m very glad of it! I even had a year at college on Health and Social care and passed with a distinction! They said I’d never pass. I’m now on higher level course at my local college. Now I live in my own flat, I do have an overnight carer presently, as just been diagnosed with epilepsy I thought I’d let you know for it’s good to hear of successes, I mean I’m the girl who’d ‘never walk or talk, and if I ever left hospital alive all I’d do for myself is breahe!’How wrong could hospitals be?
