To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download thought it was me I fell off of a hotel balcony when I was 2 and a half.I hit the base of my skull and am partially paralized [paralyzed] on the right side of my face. I never thought any of my behaviors were a result of this terrible tbi. In fact,my appearance was treated with shame from my mother and scorn from the years in different school yards. I’m 48 now,and a couple of weeks ago, I fell and hit my head pretty hard.I’d gotten another concussion, and all of the symptoms I’ve had from time to time, especially in times of stress, have descended on me with such an ongoing intensity. I’m so sleepy after just a couple of hours of regular activity. My friend told me the other day about traumatic brain injury.I’m thinking now, with the effects of this recent concussion looming about me,that maybe all those years of not being able to cope with the reality of life and being easily overwhelmed, maybe I’m really not defective, somehow.Maybe my tbi brought with it,ways of being that I’d always thought of as being my fault. It feels like I’ve been in a concussion all this time. It is only through the grace of God that I’m still here. I hope that I start feeling better, from this rescent concussion soon, and not get stuck. You can e-mail me if you’d like. Comments
