My only lasting effect has been trouble with my legs responding to the signals my brain sends them. I suffered DVT’s in both legs and I am unclear if the damage is from the DVT or if its nuerological. My speech, motor skills and cognitive skills remain the same as before the injury. I have difficulty walking a straight line and I tire easily. It has been 4 months since I was shot and I find working 8 hours days tiring at times. I do my physical theraphy every day, but I feel that my legs will never be the same. I have one more surgery to reconstruct my skull, I don’t have a large part, the size of a baseball, on the top of my head. I hope the next surgery does not further impair my legs, but I am very fortunate to have healed so quickly. I went back to work 60 days after the accident. Comments
