Submandibular Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma
by: Diana on Mon, Mar 23 2009
Facebook Twitter

I was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer in 1990. I have been a survivor for 18 years now. I had to have my bottom teeth removed before radiation treatments. After the fact I was told that as I got older there may not be enough bone to hold a denture. That time has arrived.

I am currently have dental implants because of bone loss, something I have been told in the past that was unavailable to me because of the radiation. After telling friend about my situation I found a prosthodontist and and oral surgeon that is willing to work with me to make this happen for me, with hyperbaric oxygen treatments this is possible so that I will be able to live a normal life. Looking and eating normal
