To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Undiagnoised for 6 years I am a 51 yr old man who is diagnosed with advanced stage 3, Renal Cell Carcinoma. In Oct of 2002, at age 45, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with a “ruptured kidney” which was a mis-diagnosis. Treated for the bleeding only, I was released from the hospital after a 5 day stay, leaving with minimal discharge instructions. In Feb of 2008, I was suffering from sever left flank pain again and went back to the same hospital where I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer My wife immediatly had me moved to the Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas Medical Center, where I learned I had a 9 cm tumor back in 2002 when I was diagnosed with a ruptured kidney. This condition that had then advanced into a 15 cm tumor involving my spleen, pancreas and bowl, required immediate surgery. When the surgeons cut, I had my spleen, (20% of my pancreas) and lower bowel removed. I had extreme surgery and was not expected to live through the SICU recovery period. I am happy to say that I did survive thanks to the great surgeons at Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center, Houston, Texas. I am undergoing an oral anti-cancer drug called Nexavar. I began with Sutant, the most effective drug, however, it was too tough on my heart. We can only hope to live day to day and moment by moment. On this day, I am cancer free, from what can be detected on a CT scan. Thank you Lord for the Many Blessings!!! Comments
