esophaageal cancer

by: Anna on Fri, Apr 18 2008

On February 25, 2008, I had the surgery to remove my esophagus and am just now (April 17, 2008) home from the hospital and starting to gain my strength back. I spent 38 in a fog and didn’t really know my surroundings or where I was most of the time. But when I awakened, I started getting stronger every day.

I now walk around the house and do daily exercises to rebuild my strength. My son, daughter-in-law (especially her), and grandson help me as much as they can.

My doctor said he believes that I am 99.8 percent cancer free and I’ll need one more chemo session for precaution.
I thank God every day for giving me back my life and I hope this helps someone else suffering from the same ailment.

After a few months as I would try to sleep I had this really deep itch in my left inner thigh. I would rub it all night because it was so deep my fingernails wouldn’t help. [more..]
