Became staph infection which needed surgery to remove. Some of the infection got onto my spine. a few week later had major back and side pain. Went to ER had MRI showed T6 T7 were infected. Spine Biopsy test was neg arfter i week of IV therqapy. Dr order open spine biopsy my spine Dr. refuses. Went home 10 day latter more pain than before back to ER had MRI infection now on T6 T7 T8. increases IV by 50%. One week later collaspe in home could not stand. Rushed to hospital MRI showed T6 - T8 Verabre gone Spinial Cord twisted. Spine surgeon Never showed up at trama unit. Layed in ER 11hrs with no surgeon Had lost all feeling below waist about 4 hrs after getting to ER. Finally a neurosurgeon was found and took the case put 2 steek rods and 10 strews in my back and clean out all the infection he could find. Dr told my wife if i survive the surgery and be in no worst shape than i was. paralayed from waist down. with-in a week i was able to stand and have been getting better a little at a time. The spinial collapes happen on april 19, 2008. It is now november 2008 i can walk with a cane and am driving my pick-up trauck. Comments
