To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Total Sleeplessness I have had a lifetime of very little to no sleep. All through my life as a child, as a teenager, and as a wife and mother, I averaged 2-4 hours sleep a night. There were many nights that I NEVER went to sleep yet was able to handle all responsibilities the next day without having the “sinking” period that most people would experience. As I have gotten older, the sleeplessness has gotten worse. I don’t think I have ever been sleepy. Now, at 66 years old, I sleep 2-3 hours a night, some nights (average 2-3 per week) I never go to sleep. I still don’t get sleepy but I am totally exhausted. This is a time of life when I should be enjoying being retired, free to go places and do thing, but the exhaustion is more than I can handle. I am now beginning to withdraw from social activities and outings because of this exhaustion. Am I alone in this problem? And, if not, where can I get help? Comments
