hello, my name is DEE and my husband has seizures Usually they are controlled by dilantin, phenobarbital, gabitril,,clonazepam and zonisamide.but a few months ago his dr. took him off of gabitril, zonisamide. this threw him totally off, having constant techs every few minutes, lasting 2-7 seconds long. they did a eeg and found this happening to him , so they put him back on the meds. they took him off and increased his mg on gabitril to 4mg. 2 a day.Now this is not working, they bumped it up to 8mg. 2 times a day and now this is not working?

I watched my husband this morning as if he had parkinsons, but he does not.I have to work to support us, im considering home health for a few hrs each day, to fix him lunch etc. I feel alone in this , i always help him get better, this time, I can not? He said hes not scared to die, but does not want to die having a seizure? how much longer or how many more drugs or miligrams does he have to take to stop this, hes on so many now its unreal? and if we change his diliatian, phenobarb that will take 9 mths or so to wing him off? what will happen to him during this period? even his reg. DR. said no too that!, so yea, Im scared to death?

Hello, I wrote awhile back concerning my son who was having unexplained seizures. After many, many tests we came up empty handed. The only thing that had recently changed prior to him having these episodes was that we put him on acne medication. [more..]
