I have a sezure disorder due to a bilateral frontal mass L>R S/P partial resection-nuerosurgeon said ‘I have never seen something like this before, the minute I touched it, it dispersed all over the place. Mayo Clinic diagnosded it as Histiocyte. Apart from my Gran-mal sezure whcih drove us to the hospital I was doing fairly well on dilantin. I had a slow brain syndrome and difficiencies of higher level functioning

It wasn’t until 2.6 years later that I developed partial complex seizure. I was having quite a few per day. After being placed on high doses of both Pred. and Methotraxate, I improved, somewhat. I was placed on Lyrica for burning pain that I get in dif. areas of the body and this also helped my seizures, finally, I was placed on Lamictal. I was also found to have an abnormal glucose tolerant test showing hypo-glycemia and my ammonia level was high-this last was tested a total of 3 times and all three were done per protocol. I carry glucose tabs and when I feel the onset of a specific type of seizure I can abort it at the aura state.

The new problems that I have concern somnolence/sleepwalking seizures- I had these several yrs prior to my tu.dx.Recently, the pattern of my decreased pain and temperature defficiency has become very marked and it is a crossed pattern-I have also developed decrease muscle stregnth in my upper arms and right leg. my reading writing and arithmitic are also in jepordy Can MRI’s miss a brainstem lesion and if so, what other tests can be done? My headaches have 3 different presentation-L migraine pain in the back of my eyes and occiput, pain over the top of my head.
