To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download seizures after 16 years of none A 19 year old girl suddenly had seizures after 16 rears of no seizures (age 3)and during exam week in the northern part of WI had a grand mal seizure Does anyone think like I do that this is related to 1. the brain now has stopped growing, 2. the stress of exams has lowered the seizue threshold and 3. the northern weather has also added to the lowering of the threshold. The girl is now put on oby the neurologist. The girl may not need this medication and MDs rush into meds too soon at times. I had a grandfather who was a epileptic when he was young in England. He joined the navy and went to sea with his frequent seizures during WWI. He was told at the time that he should go to a climate that was dry and he would not have seizures anymore. He landed in Australia and never returned to England. From that day forward from his late 20’s he never had a seizure till the day he died at 86. The evidence speaks for itself. He also never had medication again. What do you think? Comments
