any experts out there that can help?

I’m a 29 year-old man who is enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. The strangest thing happened to me when during my deployment to Afghanistan. I had never had a seizure before in my life until November 8, 2008. I was standing behind my computer, and I began to have a weird feeling (a feeling that something wasn’t normal) and the room began to fade. That is the last thing I remember.

After that, according to the people around me, I sat down, leaned forward against the computer, then fell out of my chair. My head hit the concrete floor and I began to go into convulsions. My eyes were rolling back in my head and I also made gurgling noises during this 20-30 second seizure After this period (of which I remember nothing), the next thing I remember was that I was standing and everyone was staring at me. I was very weak all over my body. I was then taken to the base hospital where a CAT scan showed nothing.

Doctors sent me back to The Untied States for further evaluation. I have had a few more tests, but I’m curious as to what happened to me. I have not had another seizure since. I do have an aunt that has epilepsy I am also told that this is happening more in deployed military personnel than in the average population. Does anyone have any thoughts, knowledge, or advice about this? Any of these three would be greatly helpful. I have not had another seizure since.
