Shanna’s Days

It is so hard to remember that there was a time when my life was normal? 3 years ago I had to have back surgery I had exhausted all other alternatives. The surgery went well& I was released 24 hrs later only to be rushed to the hospital 5 days later with an impacted bowel.Thankfully I didnt perferate so was sent home in just 4 days.I followed all doc’s orders and recovered very well, I grew a bone inside the metal cage they had incerted in just under 6 months, Back doc released me. Within a month my feet began to burn and I noticed I couldnt keep them warm/cold,pain became so bad went to my reg doc who referred me to a foot doc who told me I had a blocked nerve. She said go home take these pills and if they help you that means you need surgery to release the nerve. Nuerontin helped with the pain got a full nights sleep for the first time in a few months. 3 wks later she did my right foot,a fasciectomy, then five weeks later did the other foot. Within a few weeks of 2nd surgery it was obvious I still had same symptoms only worse the doc just wanted to medicaTE me. When we had run the gammet of meds and she ordered oxycontin for me I told her I was afraid to take it, she got nasty and was very rude.Wasent a week before I got a letter saying she could no longer be my doc. In the mean time I had signed up at a pain management clinic so went to that doc who diagnosed me with RSD and non diabetic nueropathy. Am now on Lyrica and Kadian been a year of sym. blocks that do nothing. Went to physical therapy they had me swimming and used a thing called Rebuilder, bought one and used it at home as well , Seem to work at first but now really does nothing or its just that pain has increased. When I call doc’s to try to get another opinion they all say they cant help me when they hear my last doc quit on me and hear what all she did to me. Keep in mind I have never had any xrays or MRIs or scans or anything? I am at a loss and feeling all alone docs would be happy if I would just take the meds and leave them alone but at early 40’s I dont want to be on all these meds for another forty or more years? I guess I just need to hear I am not alone and if anyone has any ideas or things they have tried that helped. I am in bed for 4 out of 7 days and have been out of work for 3 yrs. Cant take the anti depressants have had really bad reactions to them, dont get very much sleep due to bad reaction to those meds cant take them? HELP??? Sry for typos but maybe someone out there reads typo eh? Cant spell worth a crap either but thats always been that way.
