Living with RSD

I’m glad I found other people that feel the same way that I do. I had an injury to my knee on 8/28/08 and had surgery finally on 2/23/09. I went to have my stitches taken out and oh wow I thought I was going to die. After the stiches were removed the barely touched my knee and the pain sent me right threw the roof. I screamed and it made my Dr. and boyfriend jump back.
Since that day it has been more pain every day. I live with this everyday and I want it to end. I want the life back that I had. I have recently gotten approval from comp to have the nerve blocks done. I am hoping beyond all possibilites that this will make a difference.
I am now experiencing muscle spasms. When my leg spasms it causes pain to me. I do not understand this and is very difficult to make others understand when you cant understand it yourself. People look at me like I’m going crazy when I tell them that I’m in pain all of the time. I have tried to deal with it as much as possible but some days it is just to unbearable.
Good luck to all of those who are living with this disease. You are not alone as much as you think. There are more of us out there.

Hello ,My daughter who is 8 broke her left leg 1/18/2009 . We had it in a cast for 3 weeks the doctor came back and told us it was never broken just sprained really bad.

On Jan. 08 I had Patella reconstruction on my left knee, everything seen to be fine after, about a month or two later, I have noticed that my knee look darker than normal and very sensitive to the touch.

I was involved in a car accident in which a small bone in my hand was broken. Surgery could not be done for 10 days, so my hand was put in a half plaster cast and repaired with the insertion of a screw and pin. Within a couple of days my hand began to burn and drive me mad under the cast.
