My daughter has RSD

Hi, my daughter has RSD. She got an early diagnosis a year ago those of you with RSD don’t need me to tell you what it is like. The thing I am trying to get in to the information pipeline is how much swimming has helped her. I hardly ever read about this.We had a wonderful physical therapist that got her into swimming. It seems that your brain knows that you are in the water and will allow you to move your body in ways it won’t on dry land. Think about it-if you are on just standing up there is no way your body will let you fall forward-but when you are in water up to your chest your body will let you free fall. my daughter’s RSD is in her left foot, she has always gone forward with her recovery(I credit early help and diagnosis ) We go to the indoor/heated pool at our local YMCA. I hope that this will help someone out there, I truly believe that water therapy has been the the key in her progress
