Am totally at witts end
by: VK
on Wed, Feb 04 2009
I am a 48 year old female . Was normally very active until recently (almost 3 years ago) when I broke my wrist at work and it wasn’t discovered till 3 mos after the fact. Until then I was treated for everything from tendonitis to tennis elbow. Once it was diagnosed I was treated with 10 Ganglion Blocks , medication, which I cannot for the life of me remember the names of them I know one is Lyrica .
I have been trying to fight this since day one only to find out I have to fight more and more each day to just get out of bed. I find that as of now I am not able to do my daily activities especially at home without the constant pain. I am recently awaiting an okay for Spinal surgery to try to allevate some of the pain.
This morning I noticed that the pain is currently going down into my left ankle . It has already hit my neck and sometimes my lower back. I am really at witts end. I do lots of crying but am currently on Effexor 75 and it seems to keep me stable enough to know that sometime or another I will get some kind of relief. I am too young to be paralized and intend to try to fight all the way till I can get to where I can atleast enjoy playing with my wonderful grandchildren or doing a little housework. I am very independent and to not be able to even wash my hair by myself at times can be very distressing. Anyone that can give me any hints or tips, please feel free to let me know. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Vincenza K. (Call me Vicki, it’s easier)
