by: Bianca
on Wed, Jan 21 2009
Hi im bianca Im only 16. i have lived the past 5 1/2 months with rsd. i didnt really understand what was happening to me. It is horrible. I broke my left foot and then there on it was spiraling downwoods. The RSD started in my foot and spread into my knee.
i Have seen so many doctors, phiso’s. i have had to have so many xrays, bone scans im always in and out of hospital because the pain and swelling get so bad. The doctors have told me to stay on lyrica and a deprssion and anti inflamemation medication but nothing seems to help. i sleep about and hour or two if im lucky cant evan put a doona ova my leg it hurts that bad. It has made me that depressed.
i dont remember much. i forget wat day it is. My parents are supportive but get really frustrated with me i struggle to day to day things. i have to exercise in the pool and i cant do much. i had to stop working every now and then. Does anyone know any medication or anything that can stop the pain or atleast help with the pain. nothing has helped so far. i have been on crutches since i broke my foot.
Does anyone know if rsd goes away???

2 years ago, March 2007. A beautiful day. A drive in the van with my husband and our 2 year old grandson for a day together and then, out of nowhere, in an instant, my life has changed FOREVER! A speeding car and an inattentive driver running a stop sign had left me with several dislocated vertebre in my neck, an injured shoulder and some kind of strange, horrific pain in my left arm.
