To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download RSD and my life now I am now a 50 yr old woman, about 11 yrs ago I fell in a parking lot, I not only fell but I bounced up and hit the street again. That was July 4, 1997. Since hat date I have had 3 knee and back surgeries, the pain I was in was something I never had before. It felt as if someone was setting my body on fire and the pain was off the charts. Yet no one believed me that I was in so such pain. I was told after 5 yrs that fall that I needed a right knee replacement. I said no as nothing the doctors did helped. I was told I was making it up or crazy for saying I was in the pain I was in. At first it was just my right knee then my back. I went to another bone doc he told me that I have RSD Ok I thought now fix it. He sent me to a Neurologist. He did some test on me. Rsd Has changed my life. I am now total RSD I am in pain 24/7, I walk with a cane. I was married, but when the guy I was married to found out that RSD would one put me into a wheel chair he no longer wanted to be married to me. (Not a true loss as it was a bad marriage). In 11 yrs I have seen myself a pretty active person become a person who can’t walk far w/out being in so much pain that my muscles burn out of control and then I can’t move. I am trying to fight back with exercizing the best I can 3 days a week, I need to lose weight I know that will help some. But it will not stop the RSD from becoming worse. I am on Neurontin: 600mg, 3x a day and Baclofen 30mg: 1 and 1/2 pills 3′x a day. I should take more meds yet my body rejects most of them. I also have Degenerative Arthritis, and Degenerative Disc disease. The pain all run together. RSD/CRPS I can’t stand even the slightest breeze on my right knee or back, nothing tight on my skin. and never ice to bring down swelling. If I get very cold my body will be in such pain, even with air conditioning I have to cover my legs and feet up so they don’t become worse in pain. RSD has changed my life with severe pain and progressive changes in skin, muscle, and bone. I am now in stages 2 and 3. Comments
