To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download RSD I’m a 47 yr old women who has RSD. Have had it since 2002, I had leg surgery. And went to have the stiches taken out and it hurt like hell. That is when the Doctor said I think you may have RSD My leg was is still is in bad shape but I have learned to live with the pain, for there is nothing more that the Doctors can do. I had 2 yrs. of Nerve Blocks and 2 yrs. of PT. When I first started my PT it was so painful, with the fact that I was not sleeping, and then having to go for PT and the Nerve Blocks just whore me down, not only me but my Husband and Daughter at the time. I had a hard time just doing the little things like cleaning and cooking. Even Driving was hard, had to use my left foot and not my right foot cause that was the one that was in so much pain. And then finally I was given the Gabapentin which really helps me so much. Oh don’t get me wrong I’m not pain free but just alot happier then what I was. I never know what RSD was until I was told I had it. My Husband and Daughter could never understand what I have to live with everyday of my life. My Right Leg feels like I’m walking on a 2 x 4. And it is not a good feeling at all. Your leg it hot and then cold, you can’t touch it, it is red in color, swalles up, hard to walk, get up in the morning I have to hang my feet over the side of the bed just to get the feeling back into my right leg cause other wise I will fall on my face. These are just some of the things I have to live with everyday.
