My mother suggested I get a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea. I ended up coming out negative for sleep apnea but showed significant periodic limb movements in sleep which causes an average of nine mini-awakenings per hour and have absolutely no stage 3 or stage 4 sleep. My doctor has prescribed Requip for me. So far, my energy level feels a little better during the day. I’m currently on 1mg of Requip which I will be increasing by 1/2 mg over the next couple of weeks and will be taking 2mg for a month with another follow up with my doctor. I then plan on having another sleep study done to see if these sympoms will have improved at all with the Requip. I’m hoping for the best here. Comments
