To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download PD Symptoms I was told by a neurologist that I have PD. I asked for a second opinion and was told the same by another neurologist. I broke C2 17 years ago and I believe the PD symptoms are related to that injury - the doctors say the symptoms world have transpired sooner. No one in my family has PD. First symptoms for me occurred 5 years ago (I was about 37, 38 at the time). The symptoms were the inability to write and I also experienced hand cramps. Short time after I noticed I dragged my foot a little and my walk had changed. A year or so after that my leg started to tremble followed a few months later with hand/arm trembling. I could no longer lift heavy things and did not have the strength in my right side. The symptoms seem similar to PD but I still do not believe this is the correct diagnosis, as such, I refuse to take the medication. I do not want to be on meds the rest of my life. I cannot write with my right hand anymore and can no longer use both hands to type. I work f/t; single parent; baseball coach; attend school part-time and try to watch what I eat. I am not going to take the meds and just think positively and exercise. Comments
