An Exercise That Has Given Me My Quality Of Life Back!!!

For the last 5 years I have had lower back pain, neck pain and sever headaches. My Doctor increased my med’s but that did not help. I was going to physical therapy for 5 years 2 times a week but I was still getting worse, my pain my walking my muscles and my posture was getting weaker.

When I had my 6 month check-up in January 2008 with my Neurologist, he said in 6 months to a year I will need somthing to help me walk. I left there thinking about what we talked about and decided I’m not going to let PD take over me. I did some research to see if there is an exercise I can do to help me with my pain, posture and get my legs stronger. If you don’t have good posture you won’t have good balance and we all know how important that is.

I found an exercise called the Ab-Inforcer and I contacted the inventor by e-mail. I asked her if the Ab-Inforcer has ever been used by someone with PD. I know she worked with people who had back problems to get there back stronger. She said no but after telling her a little about PD and what I was looking for in an exercise, she was willing to give it a try with me.

I have been educating her about PD and she has been training me by phone because she is located in California. Here is somone who did not know me and took time from her busy schedule to try to help me. I wish I could find a Doctor like her! Anyway I started working out with the Ab-Inforcer in May,2008. 7 weeks later my back pain was gone and so were my headaches. For 5 years physical therapy did not help and in 7 weeks I feel like a new person. I am able to play golf again with no pain, my posture is also getting better and my legs are alot stronger. I have alot more energy.

At my last appointment with my Neurologist on August 4,2008, 3 months since I’ve been working out with the Ab-Inforcer, my Doctor was shocked. He could not believe how good I was doing, my walking got faster and for the first time I was able to stand up with my hands across my chest from a sitting position- a task that I could never do before. My scores use to be 4’s the worst score you can get. This visit my score was a 0, the best you can get. He told me to keep working with this exercise it has definitely helped me.

I know this is not a cure, but it has given me a better quality of life back and I hope we can help others with PD, MS ,ect. to have the same chance. This is a quote from a Doctor who dose research for PD and exercise ” EXERCISE IS GOING TO BE A VERY IMPORTANT PART TOWARDS FINDING A CURE ” I have been trying to get a Doctor to do a study with this exercise, I have two video’s taken of me one from 5 years ago and one that was taken Dec,2008 and I have all my reports from my visit’s. But no one is interested or they don’t believe I have gotten better with this exercise. All the proof is on paper and in the video, so why are the Doctors and PT’s close minded about this exercise ? My goal is to help others whether it’s PD, MS,ect. I will not stop until someone listens.

This past November I had the privilege to meet the inventor, Lee Brandon in Tampa, Florida. Here is someone who didn’t know me and has went out of her way to help me. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be feelng as good as I feel today, she has no idea what it’s like to have this disease but yet she has given me alot of support, more then I think she know’s. I appreciate all her help she has been a big inspiration to me.

You need to stay positive as I alway’s say ” I HAVE PD, PD DOSE NOT HAVE ME ” Let’s all work together and find a cure !!

Stay Strong,
Lee

  • Agent Orange and Parkinson’s disease - by Alan - (Wed, Jan 14 2009)
There is compelling evidence that Parkinson’s disease is associated with exposure to the chemicals in Agent Orange.
