Dealing with Parkinson’s Disease

It has been about a year since my physician diagnoised me with Parkinson’s Disease. It’s been a bit lonely for me since my girlfriend passed away two years ago. My sister in particular has been very harsh with me and we no longer communicate. I find that exercise and working part time helps.

    On a family outing with our son I noticed my husband tapping the steering wheel with his thumb. Because we live in the bay area (s.f.) our first reaction was the stress of traffic, so as usual we approached the problem with a sense of humor and never returned to the tapping thumb for months.
