To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Partner with Parkinsons My partner is only 48 years old and was diagnosed with Parkinsons at the age of 46. His father also had Parkinsons but was not diganosed until he was about 66years old. I have only been with my partner for the last 15 months and want to support him totally but am so frustrated by my efforts. I am into health and fitness and know how much diet and exercise have an impact on daily living. My partner drinks every night between 1-3 drinks and more when we socialise. He is on a trial drug at the moment (the second) and I have been trying to get him to acknowledge that alcohol will have an impact on how he feels whilst taking these trial drugs. My partner has the tremor in his left arm, no swing and the stooped look. I love him dearly and want him to feel the very best he can but he doesn’t believe that alcohol and diet hold any special key. Has anyone out there got some experience in giving up alcohol whilst taking Parkinsons medication and how it has a possitive effect. Comments
