My Dad lives in Ottawa Ontario Canada. He has all the typical symptoms of NPH …the gait/shuffle, the mild memory problems and the lil accidents. His doctor told him that he has Parkinsons. He has no typical symptoms of Parkinsons except his walk and sometimes he falls down.

He took a NPH brochure and the doctor says he doesnt have that and that is the end of that. Now he on L-Dopa and all kinds of other meds for Parkinsons. I have tried to find him another doctor closed to his home him familiar with NPH. But i live in Mississippi and it has been difficult. If anyone out there know of a good doc familiar with NPH near Ottawa or Montreal…please let us know. I hate to see him on all this medicine that i feel he doesnt need.
