To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Is it really CIDP? In February of 2007 I fell on my stomach in a swimming pool on a heavy pool cover. I struggled for some time to try to reach the ladder. In two days it was impossible for me to lift my right leg to climb stairs. In June I began seeking treatment and by this time had significant foot drop in my right foot. There was no significant pain. After multiple MRIs which show herniation in my neck and lower back and 3 trips to Mayo Clinic I continue to be the “mystery lady”. Have received 13,000 mg of Solu-Medrol which seemed to make me much weaker, much IVIG and last week received my sixth plasma pheresis. This week will have both plasma ph. and IVIG. At this point there is extensive muscle atrophy in my right leg and it has spread to my left making it impossible for me to climb stairs or walk very far with a walker. Recently I was introduced to a chiropractor that is using a laser and an instrument on (like a small jack hammer I call it) to stimulate nerves in my neck and back. Obviously, I am praying for answers. Comments
