To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with Neuropathy My doctor put me on a Phenytal patch to help with pain for my spine caused by an auto accident. I kept telling him there is something wrong with my feet but he refused to listen. I could not even put my feet down on the floor in the morning without screaming. Then, I started knotting out from the patch so he just takes the patch off and I go into withdrawl without even knowing I was in withdrawl. My friends found me screaming and out of my head and the took me to the hospital. My heart was just about ready to stop. My doctor still would not treat my feet but said he was sorry for not knowing how powerful the patch was. Finally, I found an Internal Medicine Physcian who diagonoised my neuropathy He put me on neuronton then finally lyrica. It still does not help much and I am a national speaker who needs to be on her feet. The medication put about 30 pounds on me so now I have to deal with the over weight issue. He also put me on methadone which I have found out is a real killer and almost impossible to get off of. I have gone from 30mg to 19 mg but I get sick for about three weeks just going down 1mg. I don’t mean to complain but I am just now finding out all this help on the internet. If anyone has any suggestions to help please let me know. Thanks for caring about my story. Comments
