“High Voltage Electrical Nerve Stimuation” (TENS)

I received high voltage electrical stimulation not the low dose “tens” unit treatments, from a physical therapist who always appeared “High,” at a local hospital. The treatments lasted for about 40-50min. plus. It was painful when she would increased the voltage. When I would complain, she would always tell me that I’m just too sensitive to it.

During treatment the muscles would jerk abruptly. The treatments lasted about 6-8 weeks I believe. However, one week after treatment ceased, l began developing the same abrupt, twitching movements only this time it was involuntary movements throughout my entire body including my tongue, etc. I have been through a living hell because of this. Everyime I would try to seek answers from doctors, I would be harrassed by them, thrown out of their office by their secretaries or both of them, yelled at and forced to take medications which was unrelated to my symptoms etc. because they knew that I was fully aware of what happened to me.

I had on Neurologist administer an EMG. The S.O. B turned the the voIume down during treatment so my mother who was also present, could not hear the profound muscle twitching and therefore resort to a diagnosis of a mental disease. Then he contacted my home after office hours and harrassed me into taking some psychotic-medication. Another neurolosist told me that the reason I was experiencing these movements were because I was “in fear of my mother.”

I have not only been victimized by this alffliction I have been victimized by everyone I come in contact with in seeking treatment and help including my so called attorneys. If the doctors don’t understand it, they immediately treat me as if I’m “crazy.” Now when I go to a doctor for any illnesse(s), I have to hide the twitching by suppressing the twitches, however way possible.

No one should have to go to a doctors office and hide their real problem just so they won’t be ridiculed or conspired against. What a sick system we live in. The most respected profession has certainly been a disservice to me a victim.
