Neuropathy

I am a 66 year male who is border line diabetic with it under control.

I just found out in April of this year, 2007 that I have cancer in my left lung. Having chest x-rays every year for several years, it was never caught until I started coughing up blood and I told my doctor this. They did s-scans and then a PET scan which located the cancer in my left lung. After a week in the hospital that was my diagnosis and it’s either 3rd to possibly 4th stage. I started chemo therapy treatments in May and now have had 6 chemo treatments. I did not have the neuropathy in my fingers and the bottoms of my feet until after starting chemo therapy and it has gotten worse after each chemo treatment. Having the neuropathy in the bottoms of both my feet, I have to watch how I walk, because I don’t always feel that I am walking, so far I haven’t fallen down.

I am just trying to find out what can be done in the way of treatment for this condition. It sometimes affects my getting a good night’s sleep because of the numbness and sometimes tingling in my feet.

Thanks for any advise.
