Without help

After a car accident I started having a headache. The next day I hurt so bad I truely never would have imagined. The softest touch and I would leave out a blood curdling scream. After the accident I could hardly talk, but since there was no blood nobody thought much of the problem. I was so out of it I couldn’t even call my home phone. I was left at the accident site without a ride because I could not communicate. I hurt so bad I couldnt move. I had loss of bladder and bowel. I would have thought at least my husband would take me to the hospital.

I still hurt on most of my body. Neurologist number one told me he couldn’t see anything wrong with me and told me that I was old. Neurologist number 2 tried me on many different meds with either no reaction, short lived reaction, or a severe reaction. So far the Pamelor works for the pain the best with trileptal for the spasms.

I’m 43 this week and I can’t imagine that I have to live with the pain of neuropathy the rest of my life. Water arobics helps tremendously but I’ve done my best to be functional again. The pamelor constipates me and the trileptal causes one to retain water so the bowel and bladder problems have improved with meds. My blood pressure has frequently been 197/107. I finally gave in and started on blood pressure pills because I am now starting to have palpitations. Other than neurologist #2 I have had little help.

It does help to hear that someone else actually understands what I mean when I say that I actually hurt “everywhere”. I know my husband doesn’t understand how much the exercise helps to not have the severe pain in my feet. The throbing body parts at night is a bit much to handle. I’ve tried quite hard to not have pain relievers in my home because I do have teenagers and I have been afraid they’ll be tempted. Any great ideas please post… I’d love to be truely functional again.
