I started having slight pains in my feet, mostly my right foot. I thought perhaps it was related to shoes, so I went on a shoe buying binge. Nothing worked. I then went to see my doctor, he recommended some low dose anti depressants, which I ingnored because of other meds I was taking. Turns out he was right in prescribing this, but not as a solution, just pain managment. I went to a podiatrist. He had little to offer. I saw a Neurologist, she said it was from Dilantin I had taken. She was wrong, I had not taken dilatin for over 8 years. This was confirmed by my next neurologist. If it were dilantin the problem would have occurred more closely to the time I was taking the dilantin. I am now taking Lyrica, also a light seizure med, for the foot pain. This is very severe pain, very sharp interrupting sleep and just about everything I do in life. Luckily I live close to a a renowned medical center, so my next appointment is there. EMG tests have shown some abnormalities. This entire problem started nearly 2 years ago and has been progessing painfully over that time. Comments
