To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My experience I came across this website completely by chance and just felt I had to write something. In November 2006 I came down with a bad chest infection began to feel weaker than usual which developed into mild pins and needles in my feet first and then my hands, gradually extemeties got cold and started to go numb - I went to the doctor and they said it was in my head!!!! I kept getting worse and was only when one of the doctors asked me to sign something and saw I couldn’t even hold a pen that I went for tests. Chest x-ray and some blood work later I was diagnosed with GBS but never admitted to hospital. Looking back the numbness was an inconvenience and didn’t really bother me (not being able to walk more than 5 paces without being incredibly tired did though) but it was the pain when the feeling came back - I can’t think about it even now. Burning, scorching - the only way I can describe it is the feeling when you dip your toe in a bath that’s too hot. Has anyone else felt this??? I’ve looked everywhere online and can’t find any stories like mine. (sorry for the essay). I now have full use of all extremities with only the occassional jab of pain, stiffness or random pins and needles Comments
